V. Nicholas Galluzzi, M.D.

As a native of the east coast, Dr. Galluzzi began his education at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Shortly after, he achieved his Master of Science degree at the University of Illinois in Biophysics. Ready for a new challenge, Dr. Galluzzi continued with his education at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, where he received his Medical Doctorate.    

After the completion of his schooling he served a medical internship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, a residency in anatomic pathology at the Stanford Medical Center, and a residency in clinical pathology at the University of California School of Medicine where he served as chief resident. Dr. Galluzzi then began his career as a pathologist and continued to work in the field of pathology for the next five years. 

Although he found the work of pathology very rewarding, Dr. Galluzzi decided to further enhance his medical knowledge by training to become a dermatologist.  He quickly found the two fields of medial practice similar because both forms use visual sight to diagnose problems.  Through his years as a professional, Dr. Galluzzi has found that he has a strong ability to diagnose issues with his eyes.   

Dr. Galluzzi enjoys practicing all forms of dermatology, but finds Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery the most rewarding because it gives him the ability to treat the serious disease of skin cancer.  With a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Dr. Galluzzi does his best to assist every patient that he treats. 

In his free time, Dr. Galluzzi enjoys spending time with his wife and their American Eskimo dog and his wife’s two hunter-jumper horses.  Originally from the scenic north shore of Boston, he remains a fan of all Boston sports teams and also enjoys underwater and nature photography, gardening, tropical fish, and politics.
