Helen Ross, M.D.

Before moving to Arizona, Dr. Ross resided in New York City where she divided her time between two different humanitarian agencies, both of which provide multi-specialty medical, psychiatric and social services to the community. Dr. Ross was the only dermatologist providing dermatology care to both of these agencies, serving adults and children with a variety of disabilities. Her expertise includes working with individuals with Down Syndrome and autism with varying degrees of mental retardation, ADHD/ADD, pervasive developmental disorders, cerebral palsy, xeroderma pigmentosa, tuberous sclerosis and various other rare and not so rare syndromes. Her excellent internal medicine internship and dermatology residency training prepared her thoroughly for such an important solo practice where she traveled to four of the five NYC boroughs every day.

When not being a part of the above multi-specialty team, Dr. Ross also worked as the only dermatologist in a community health setting, rotating among three different clinics in uptown, midtown and lower east side of NYC. She worked with everyone, serving the uninsured, underinsured, the elderly, immigrants, the homeless, as well as private practice clientele.

Dr. Ross is board certified in dermatology, is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and served on the Melanoma Committee from 2004-2008. She is a certified nutrition consultant, and has training in medical, surgical, cosmetic and holistic dermatology, as well as 12 years of military experience in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Ross has passed the written and oral examinations for board certification in anti-aging medicine. Her board certification in anti-aging medicine will be through the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine in May 2009.
